As you will be aware, firms and independent advisors that hold a dormant client account for over 6 years and are unable to trace the client can donate the proceeds to charity. By donating the funds from dormant accounts you will help Brain Research UK fund vital brain research to help people living with neurological conditions live better, longer - people like Louise who suffered a seizure which led to the diagnosis of a brain tumour at just 33.
Although Louise had successful surgery to remove most of the tumour, 20% remained and the chances are high that this will eventually grow further and develop into a high-grade tumour. She has six-monthly scans to monitor the tumour, which so far remains stable.
‘I will always have brain cancer but all I can hope for is that another person will have a better chance of a cure in the future.’
